Christian Aid. We support Christian Aid by holding a coffee morning once a year. We ask the congregation to donate cakes for the Sunday morning at the end of May and then make it a social event after the morning worship. This enabled everyone in the congregation the opportunity to donate towards Christian Aid if they wished.
In 2014 we raised a little over £402:00 which is encouraging. It seems to be a very successful way of supporting Christian Aid without the need to deliver envelopes, and then have to return to collect them at the end of the week. Christian Aid was delighted with our efforts.
